Washington State Society of Clinical Social Work (WSSCSW) board members are hosting an informal social coffee hour. We do not have a set agenda. We want to meet up with clinical social workers and hear from you about your ideas and needs as we move forward as a community. In addition to hearing from you, it’s an opportunity to network and connect with other clinical social workers. If you work or live in the area, we hope you will swing by. The location is  The Hanger at 6728 Northeast 181st Street, Kenmore, WA 98028

More information and online registration: Join us for a casual coffee meet-up with Denise and Andy.

Now that you have earned your MSW, what is your next step? Social Workers have many paths and options available.

WSSCSW is offering a mentorship group to support new social workers in developing their professional identities as they navigate life as a MSW. This group will give new professionals a forum facilitated by a seasoned social worker to explore what it means to enter this profession after graduate school. This is not a therapy or supervision group.

The group is open to those who have earned their MSW within the last 5 years.

About the Facilitator
Jane Kosloff, LICSW
Jane received her MSW in 2010 from the Columbia University School of Social Work. Jane has experience in community mental health working with adults with severe mental illness as a clinical case manager, medication coordinator, and intake specialist. Currently Jane works as a behavioral health consultant and is the clinical supervisor/consultant for the social work team at Neighborcare Health.  Jane has a private practice where she practices psychotherapy and provides clinical supervision to unlicensed social workers. Jane’s clinical methods draw from mindfulness, ACT, and CBT. She will become EMDR trained in Fall 2018.

Jane greatly enjoys working with social workers who are new to field. As a mentor, Jane will help group members reflect on their career goals and their professional identity. Jane will use the power of the group dynamic to help group members think about paths towards licensure, ways to prevent burnout, how to grow clinical skills in areas of interest, and more. The group discussion topics will be greatly influenced by the needs and interests of the group members.
