She believes it is very important to understand a client's background, and belief system from a cultural and political perspective. Angie uses a holistic approach to support people in their healing journey with a social justice framework. She understands how systems of oppression shape people’s life experiences. Her healing modalities emerge from a combination of community-based experience and evidence-based practices derived from cognitive behavioral therapy, parent coaching, somatic and trauma informed therapy. She uses mindfulness and self- compassion (MSC) at the center of her practice to support clients to connect back to inner wisdom to reclaim their true power and agency.
