Presenter Ellen Slater, LICSW received her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and graduate degree from University of Chicago. She operates a private practice in Seattle, WA. In her work she integrates neuroscience and mindfulness/acceptance-based treatments. Her studies, training, and clinical practice have focused on the intersection of spirituality and psychology. After completing a 200-hour yoga teacher training, she also incorporates the body into traditional psychotherapy. Ellen focuses on designing interventions, particularly metaphor and mindfulness exercises, to assist with bringing complex spiritual principles into focus. Ellen is sensitive to biological, psychological, social, and spiritual elements of wellness, particularly the interconnection of mind-body. CEU's 1.5 ceu's
