Join the Washington State Society for Clinical Social Work
WSSCSW is dedicated to the needs of clinical social workers and is the only organization of and for clinical social workers. Unlike our sister organization, the NASW, that focuses on important issues covering a very broad range--the social services, child welfare and many others, we as clinical social workers have needs that other social workers may not have. The WSSCSW's aim is to address those clinical and advocacy needs.
The Washington State Society for Clinical Social Work led the effort to get clinical social workers state licensure. We advocate for our profession in the legislature and we promote the high standard of ethics that defines us as clinical social workers. We work with Schools of Social Work around the state to enhance clinical programs and we support and mentor students and recent graduates of these programs.
Our membership represents clinical social workers in private practice, agency settings and in education. The WSSCSW offers many programs for CEUs to meet licensure requirements. The Society also offers the opportunity to network, get practice referrals, and socialize with colleagues from a range of clinical orientations and experience.
We also support our communities through such activities as the Veterans Outreach Project that provides low cost counseling to returning veterans and their families.
Please join with us in building and protecting our profession!
